Requirements

Request addressed to the Head of the Arms, Ammunition and Explosives Trade Control Department for the authorization of the permit, specifying:

  • Company name
  • NIT number
  • Mining title with complete information or name of the contract with its respective validity, class, amount of
    explosives and their accessories that they require, economic activity for which they need the explosive, location with
    detailed name of the department, city or municipality with geographical coordinates (magazine and project),
    storage security, where the explosives will be used,

Likewise, you must relate the data of the people who will handle the explosives:

  1. Names, surnames and type and identification number, this application will have to be signed by the legal representative registered with the Department of Control of Trade in Arms, Ammunition and Explosives.
  2. Inspection journal and favorable opinion signed by the Chief of Staff of the Minor Operational Unit or by the Executive and Second Commander of the Tactical Unit in the National Army, or its equivalents in the National Navy or the Colombian Air Force in charge of the jurisdiction where the explosives and their accessories will be stored and used.
  3. Chamber and Commerce Certificate, with a validity of no more than sixty (60) days, whose corporate purpose is consistent with the economic activity for which the explosive material is requested; If a contract was signed to carry out seismic prospecting and well drilling studies, attach the chamber of commerce of the contracting party and contractor.
  4. Legible copy of the color citizenship card 150% on one side only, of the legal representative of the company, authorized personnel, personnel who handle the explosives and their accessories and the engineer who signs the technical justification.
  5. Background consultation authorization format, signed by each of the interested parties: Legal representative, authorized(s), the people who handle the explosives and the person who carries out the technical study.
  6. Current certificate of suitability for the handling of explosive material and its accessories granted by the School of Military Engineers.
  7. Photographic record of the facilities where the explosives and their accessories will be used (work front) and stored (magazines).
  8. Valid National Mining Registration Certificate; if it has expired, you must provide a certificate issued by the National Mining Agency that guarantees its validity.
  9. Provision of information for the use of explosives issued by the mining authority for the validity of the requested quota (This document must specify the volume of material to be removed in tons or cubic meters and the number of the resolution granting the environmental viability of the mining project delivered by the competent environmental authority.
  10.  Technical justification of the explosive material and blasting accessories requested, which must have the following
    Specifications:
  • Characteristics of the material to be extracted, density of the rock.
  • Volumes to exploit.
  • Drilling specifications, diameter and length.
  • Description of the loading system, hole loading profile, mooring and initiation of blasting.
  • Attach a graph of the blasting mesh, loading and mooring system where the work face area is specified,
    length, width and height depending on the type of mining.
  • Work plans or blasting schedules, number of daily blasts and number of monthly blasts per
    work front.
  • Carry out analysis for each of the tasks with the explosive and everything that supports the quantities of material
    explosive.
  • The study must be carried out in the original, endorsed and signed by an engineer who certifies knowledge in the design and
    execution of blasting or, failing that, a professional specialist in blasting techniques.
