With the purpose of analyzing the challenges and opportunities of the Public Force in technological matters for the post-conflict, the Ministry of Defense will hold this Wednesday, November 30 at Corferias, in Bogotá, the Fourth Forum of Science, Technology and Innovation of the Defense Sector.
The activity, which will bring together representatives of the Government, the private sector, research centers and academia, also seeks to encourage innovation as a vehicle for competitiveness and strategic independence within the Military Forces and the National Police.
During the event, special guests will be Graciana del Castillo, senior fellow at the Ralph Bunche Institute for International Studies, and Elmer Román, director of the Joint Capability Technologies Demonstration Program of the United States Department of Defense.

The Commanders of the Military Forces and the Director of the National Police will participate in a panel, where they will share some successful cases in terms of innovation and scientific development and the challenges and opportunities of the Public Force in the face of the post-conflict will be analyzed.
The event will be closed in the afternoon by General (RA) José Javier Pérez, Vice Minister of Defense for the GSED and Welfare, who will explain the role of industrial companies in the economic development of the country, among which Cotecmar and Indumil, precisely from the Ministry of National Defense.
