In the continuous search to be a highly competitive institution, the Colombian Military Industry has prioritized the standardization of all internal and external processes, in order to generate a culture of security, for this reason, on February 4, 2019, the Executive Director of BASC Colombia presented lNDUMIL with the renewal of the certification of the Supply Chain Control Management System, in the BASC -Business Alliance for Secure Commerce- standard.
“This important achievement has been possible thanks to the unconditional commitment of all the collaborators who were involved in the process,” emphasized the General Manager of Indumil, Admiral (RA) Hernando Wills Vélez, within the framework of the delivery of the BASC renewal, whose purpose is to promote safe international trade and direct organizations to operate in an agile, legal and secure manner.
Although, the Military Industry endorsed 100% the application of standards and procedures, which were evaluated during the external audit carried out by BASC consultants from September 3 to 12, 2018.
Compliance with the requirements of the standard and having a robust security system made the continuity of this certification worthy for INDUMIL, which allows it to protect its supply chain against risks associated with loss, theft, drug trafficking, smuggling, terrorism, money laundering and any other illicit activity that threatens the company's control and security system.
