The industry is in a process of adaptation: the current price situation and market volatility requires the adoption of measures that contribute to the improvement of the industry's competitiveness indices and allow the sector to maintain and/or increase production. of minerals, to continue contributing to the development of the country and its regions, positively affecting macroeconomic indicators.
At the same time, Colombia is preparing to enter the post-conflict stage, which poses challenges that affect the mining sector's strategy for its immediate future. For this reason, from the Colombian Mining Association – ACM, the challenges of the industry under the new national and international reality will be analyzed by the most qualified experts.
This is how on this occasion the role of the industry in a post-conflict scenario will be analyzed and structural and interesting issues will be addressed such as: the relationship of mining with the territory and its communities, climate change, attractiveness of investment for the sector. mining and challenges of taxation of the extractive industry, among others.
