The third Meeting of the Security and Defense Industry to be held in Cartagena, under the shared leadership between the Ministry of Defense, the National Planning Department, with the support of the logistics sector of the Defense Social and Business Group, will have a very broad and inclusive approach.
The new edition of this important event seeks to integrate the industrial capacity of Indumil, Ciac, Cotecmar and Codaltec, which are the 4 producing companies of the group, with the industrial capacity of the country, and will allow us to explore opportunities that will surely boost the productive chains in different companies. . For the Military Industry, it is very important to continue the execution of an initiative that has been very successful for many years, which is the development of its suppliers to reach the levels of quality and costs that we expect.
Likewise, for Indumil it represents an opportunity to continue the search for import substitution of many of the raw materials and byproducts they use in their production. That is why a company like ours continues to support productive quality and Colombian Know How.
On the other hand, we want to make known and make available to the national industry our important capabilities in the Metalworking sector, such as foundry, microcasting and machining capabilities. As well as the services of our ballistics, metrology and plastic materials laboratories that are certified under international standards so that they can be used by different sectors including Industry, health, mining and security.
