On March 1, Indumil celebrated Zero Discrimination Day

Zero Discrimination Day is commemorated on March 1 of each year with the purpose of promoting the end of all forms of discrimination and celebrating the right of all people to live a full and productive life with dignity.

Zero Discrimination Day was established in 2013 by the United Nations (UN) General Assembly, after the Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) launched its campaign against discrimination. zero on World AIDS Day.

Currently, there are inequalities in access and guarantee of rights due to sex, age, health, occupation, income, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, race and religion, among others. According to data from the United Nations, inequality is increasing for more than 70% of the world's population, aggravating the risk of division and hindering economic and social development.

Did you know that Indumil received the Non-Discrimination Seal a few months ago?

On December 22, 2022, under the administration of the Ministry of the Interior, Icontec delivers the Non-Discrimination Seal Certificate. The Seal not only serves to show us as an organization of inclusion, of non-discrimination, before all interested parties, but also to make visible to the outside, towards the markets, the social responsability in these specific terms, a topic that is increasingly important for consumers and society as a whole.

In the case of companies, the Seal constitutes a positive differentiating factor compared to the competition and adds value. At INDUMIL we seek to reduce the rates of violation of the rights of populations who are victims of phenomena such as social inequality, racial discrimination, gender, sexual orientation, religious, political and other risk factors.
