Indumil will bring together the managers of the 18 companies that make up the Defense Social and Business Group as an executive committee, a space in which the strategic projects of the entities will be studied.
This Thursday the meeting of the Coordinating Body of the Social and Business Group of the Defense Sector – GSED will be held. On this occasion, the headquarters for the development of the aforementioned activity will be the Indumil Central Offices.
The purpose of this committee, made up of the presidents and managers of the 18 companies that make up the defense business holding company, is to coordinate the development of strategic projects aimed at improving the competitiveness of the entities represented in the Agency.
Other topics that will be discussed within the framework of the meeting are related to strategic projects that will be executed during 2017, for the benefit of the entities that make up the business group, as well as a state of risk management in charge of the Civil Defense and the presentation of ColombiaMar by Cotecmar.
What is the Defense Social and Business Group?
The Defense Social and Business Group (GSED) is an organization that is part of the Ministry of National Defense, which brings together eighteen (18) entities that support the mission of the Military Forces and the National Police in Colombia. These entities have a wide range of education, transportation, recreation, housing and production of equipment and elements for military and civil use.
Currently, the GSED has 8 Public Establishments, 3 Mixed Economy Companies, 2 State Industrial and Commercial Entities, 2 Indirect Decentralized Entities, 1 Superintendency with legal status, 1 Private Non-Profit Entity and 1 Entity Dependent on the Ministry of Defense National.
Within the framework of the meeting that will take place starting at 1:30pm, Indumil will present to attendees what has been the development and positioning process of the Córdova pistol, which has become a success story for the Colombian Military Industry, by exceeding customer expectations, due to its excellent quality, agile return on investment and opportunity to open new markets inside and outside the country.
