The Ministry of National Defense and the Business and Social Defense Group - GSED, are present at the 12th International Defense Fair in Turkey (IDEF) through the delegation made up of Colonel (RA) Juan Manuel Padilla Cepeda, General Manager of Indumil and two officers from the National Navy, officials from Cotecmar, who represent the country at the event.
This fair, which is ranked among the five largest in the world specialized in the Security and Defense sector, has been the ideal setting for the delegation to present the potential of the Colombian military industry and at the same time establish new strategic allies. for the industrial and commercial companies that make up the national defense cluster: Indumil, Ciac, Codaltec, Cotecmar, which will undoubtedly increase technological development and investment of foreign capital in the defense industry.
It is worth highlighting that in the last 12 years, Turkey has made a large investment in defense and security, which has allowed it to become a benchmark for technological development in this area, achieving almost complete autonomy in the manufacture of war material required by its armed forces and consolidate itself as an exporter of military products to all corners of the world.
The Turkish authorities welcomed the presence of our delegation at this event, with the purpose of continuing to increase commercial exchange in the defense sector. The rapprochement between Colombia and Turkey has been promoted recently with the high-level visits that the two countries have made to each other and in which the exchange on defense and security issues have been established as priority topics.
