With the purpose of strengthening the industrialization of the country, today the president of Indumil, General Ricardo Gómez Nieto, in the company of the Minister of Defense Iván Velázquez and the Director of the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management Olmedo López, the development and design of semi-permanent modular metal bridges that will serve to connect deep Colombia affected by the winter wave.
The agreement came about thanks to the fact that the UNGRD managed resources through the Colombia Vital Fund, for the acquisition of semi-permanent metal bridges that includes the transfer of technology and knowledge to Indumil as a receiving company to generate capacity in Colombia.
In the medium term, Indumil, through the transfer of technology and knowledge, will progressively increase the production capacity of bridge parts until obtaining 100 percent manufacturing capacity, with entirely Colombian labor, and thus achieve a service capacity of needs of the national road system.
With an investment of 70 billion pesos, the transfer of technology will be strengthened to guarantee care in the context of emergencies, in a joint effort between the Military Industry and the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management.
