This April 19, the Military Industry will carry out its annual Accountability Day and presentation of the Management Report for the immediately preceding period. Like several of the companies that make up the Defense Social and Business Group-GSED.
But what is Accountability?
It is a space for dialogue between public servants and citizens. Its purpose is to generate transparency, conditions of trust between rulers and citizens and guarantee the exercise of social control by the administration, also serving as input to adjust projects and action plans for their implementation.
Accountability mechanisms allow citizens and other interest groups (shareholders, clients, suppliers) to more easily obtain information about the management of public entities and their results, generating greater transparency, activating social control, allowing their once administrations make better decisions, increasing the effectiveness and legitimacy of their exercise.
All Colombian citizens can participate in the exercise of accountability without distinction of race, belief or sexual condition.

Remember that this is a space in which you can exercise your right and duty as a citizen, evaluating the management of State entities.
Accountability fulfills the following purposes:
• Strengthen the sense of public.
• Recover legitimacy for State institutions.
• Facilitate the exercise of social control in public management.
• Contribute to the development of the constitutional principles of transparency, responsibility, effectiveness, efficiency and impartiality and citizen participation in the management of public resources.
• Constitute the strategy in a space for direct dialogue between public servants and citizens, transcending the scheme that this is only a passive recipient of management reports.
• Serve as input to adjust projects and action plans so that they respond to the needs and demands of the community.
