The Matamoros Corporation will celebrate it at the Memorial of Fallen Heroes
On July 14 at 10 in the morning at the “Monument of Fallen Heroes”, the official celebration of the International Day of Soldiers and Police will take place, organized by the Matamoros Corporation, an entity that celebrates 25 years of reestablishing dreams and lives of the Heroes of the Homeland and their families.
The event will be chaired by the Minister of Defense, Rodrigo Rivera, and by the Executive Director of the Matamoros Corporation, Lorenza Panero. There will also be the presence of renowned personalities from the military and civil sphere, who will gather in a single venue to express their admiration and gratitude for the sacrifice, courage and example that the soldiers and police of Colombia display daily.
The Matamoros Corporation aims to praise the work carried out by the wounded soldiers and police officers, those who died in combat and those kidnapped or missing, expand and consolidate the unconditional support that the Heroes of the Homeland currently receive from different sectors of civil society. . For this reason, it has organized this commemoration on the Day of the Soldier and Police, in which with the support of the Presidency of the Republic and the Ministry of National Defense we want to spread our message of solidarity and fraternity and also celebrate the 25 years of operation of the Matamoros Corporation.
The tribute includes an award session with the Order of Merit of the Matamoros Corporation that will be received by some outstanding members of the Military and Police Forces, in addition to family members who have stood out for their meritorious career in defense of the institutions and whose sacrifice has allowed to all Colombians to recover sovereignty in the territory, confidence in the economy and the hope of a better future. Likewise, prominent businessmen and civil leaders will be honored, whose commitment to the cause of the Heroes of the Homeland constitutes an inspiring legacy that invites us to dream of a more supportive and equitable country.
The Matamoros Corporation is the non-profit entity with the greatest experience and history in Colombia that has been supporting soldiers and police officers injured in combat, the families of kidnapped uniformed personnel and the widows and orphans of the fallen through various means. physical, emotional and socio-occupational education and rehabilitation programs.
